Polly's Home!

Dog Days @ Charisma!

Every day is "Bring your dog to work day" here at Charisma........
okay, well not EVERY day. But we are a dog-friendly company!
Some of us bring our four legged-furry- friends with us from time to time to the office at Charisma.

There's Augey and Miles, Khloe, Molly, and Murphy. (Yet to visit us are Bailey, Roxy, Smokey & Bandit, Koko, Kennedy.....and so many more!)

Augey tags along to the office with me often and and his enthusiasm for being here along with his wacky antics at times really keeps the stress level down. Perfect protector when I work late. He loves FEDEX but barks at UPS maybe brown isn't his color! (Just make sure you don't leave your lunch on your desk unattended...he can be a swiper and loves cheese!)

Charisma Product Development - Helping Hands

Things have been really busy in Product Development at Charisma as we are all working hard to complete dolls and special projects for 2009 and are also busy working on the development of the 2010 collections. As you can see in the photo we have lots of pretty pink boxes stacking up, filled with Marie Osmond Dolls for a big 18th Anniversary August release and some extra special surprises yet to come this year.

It got so busy one day that we had to enlist the help of one of our "dolly" friends who happily pitched in to complete some last minute changes we had to make on a costume. Morning Star (who was praying for a quick finish) she looks much better in her Native American costume! "Dolly" friends are the biggest help! Don't you think?
Ok...back to work! Too much fun!

A BLANK Canvas!

It's bj, graphic designer here @ Charisma.
Hope you're having a fun Tuesday!!

What's going on with Graphics??
I am having fun working on the art files for the packaging design for a new product that will be coming to a craft store near you VERY SOON!

The process is a really creative one in which we are given a blank canvas.......
As seen in the box above. We "brainstorm" the concept with our product development team, the name and so on. (They have, at this point, already designed the doll that goes into the box.) Then I get to create the files the printer uses to print the design on the blank boxes. For me, this involves making the shapes and colors and text for the box to showcase the doll at it's best! It will end up looking something like this........

This is the Porcelain Collectible Doll Kit! Named "Sweet Dreams" and this box started the same way as the above blank box! So, I hope that gives you an idea of some of the projects we do here in the graphics area at Charisma.

We're so happy that Dr. Margaret was able to take such good care of "Polly." She is on her way home now to see Tori and has so much to tell her!
