So You know what it's like when you and 2 of your BEST friends get together......all sorts of fun things happen and TIME REALLY FLIES!!

Hoo-boy this was reallly true this weekend! I spent time with some girlfriends (one of which was Pat, our customer service and All around Great Friend) We saw "Julie & Julia" at the movies of which I HIGHLY recommend! Nora Ephron did another GREAT job and Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci were just adorable! Grabbed some dinner, hung out and the next thing I knew it was past 12!

Well, that's the case for these 3 Best Friends Forever Limited Edition dolls! They have been delayed just a little while, but they will still be available in our online store VERY soon!

So keep checking back and we'll keep you posted on their arrival. (I'm so sure they'll come in with some sort of fanfare or another!! Just like BFF's will do!!

YES! CORNY I know!
But it surely speaks about the nature of our friendships and the many types of friends we have and have had in our lifetime. All sorts of shapes and colors, types of friends and their function or purpose too!

I am reminded of how my Dad really had the qualities in that first quote. (Never realized how much of a friend he really was to me.) I think of how in the last years of his life, how he continued to maintain his friendships and be a friend. It was central to his being, a focus as he gained so much from "hangin out" with his friends. (Truth be told they were mostly all women - popular with the ladies he was :o) Why he would have me schedule his doctor appointments around their regular 3 times a week or so gatherings. What a great example of how important friends are in our lives, no matter if we're 9 or 90!

Attached above is one of my favorite images of him along with a quick drawing of my "Daddio" as I called him, so glad to have this treasure of my great friend, my Dad!

Lights, Camera, Charisma PHOTO SHOOT!

August 4, 2009 – "Dolly" Photo Shoot starts at 7:30 a.m. Behind the scenes!
The photo call line up begins outside the studio as all of the dolls are prepared for their camera debut! You might recognize some of these “Friendly” cuties that who have already made a sneak peek appearance on a Charisma web banner and are now ready for the individual shots. Photographer Josh and I style, pose and take each of the dolls photographs . . . sometimes more than once (if they don’t seem to be cooperating) with the task at hand. Than we hand off the images to BJ and she makes the magic happen as we see the final results on our website, catalogs and more. Ok..that's a wrap!
